Run by one of the fabulous dancers from the Santhosh team called Nuno who has many years experience as a professional dancer and as a teacher. You will learn basic dance steps from many dance forms including Salsa, Cha cha, Bachata, Jive, Disco and more; this will also help you going forward should you decide to try one of our partnering classes. This Tuesday morning Salsa and Cha Cha group class at Santhosh Dance is the best way to start your day! This class is a great way to learn the moves in a fun and friendly environment - getting some expert tuition along the way. This class is partner based, learning Salsa and Cha cha. Santhosh Dance have 4 male professional dancers with 3 students per dancer who take it in turns to partner with the professional. It teaches you basic Salsa and Cha cha steps which you then put into practice whilst partnering in a taught routine. Warm-ups and cool downs are done as a group. This is a class suitable for beginners.

Recapping and expanding upon salsa improvers level two, this level one intermediate course will refresh your knowledge of improvers level salsa skills along with revisiting the 'do's and don'ts' of dance-floor etiquette. Participants will learn more intricate travelling-turns and the more advanced technique of 'open-breaks.' The course will also cover double spins and will incorporate multiple spins into partner work combinations. Precision in technique, footwork, posture and balance will be encouraged. This course is suitable for those who have completely improvers level two or who have equivalent experience.

Followers will learn how to respond quickly to more advanced techniques in order to remain light, mastering double spins, improving posture and adding ladies arm-styling. By this stage, both leaders and followers will be confident to dance with a variety or partners.

The course will lay down the style's essential footwork and partner work foundations along with allowing participants to dance with a number of different partners. It's a great preparation for moving on to further study of the genre or just as a taster to see if the style is for you. No previous experience is necessary. Participants will be taught a sequence of steps and turn-pattern's that they'll be able to apply and practice straight away. Partners are rotated in this fun and fast-paced class, allowing students to work on body movement and stepping in a hold with a variety of partners as well as better understand the impact of leading and following techniques. You'll leave feeling confident and ready for romance!
