In this class
During this five week class, your guide will introduce you to all the steps involved in the fashion design process. No experience is needed, because your instructor will be there to answer any questions you may have.
You'll start by selecting a range of themes and images to work with as inspiration, in order to build up a mood board. You will then cover the different stages that are needed to further develop your ideas into a viable fashion collection.
Finally, you will undertake a design project, where you will use a variety of sketching and drawing to explore shapes, silhouettes and details in order to design your very own fashion garment!
Now you can
What you'll need
We'll provide you with everything you will need for the class, however if you wish to keep all of your ideas from the day in one place, you may want to bring along an A3 sketch book.
Up until the 19th century, designers used little dolls to showcase their collection of clothes to the customers - there were no real models until that time!
