2 hour course
Creating A Fitted Bodice For Women or Waistcoat For Men
This course is open to men and women. The women will be creating a fitted bodice, while the men will be drafting a top in the form of a waistcoat. At the end of the day, the principle is the same.
FACT: No 2 people have the exact same body measurements.
We are all individuals and have specific dimensions which make us unique, however, the industry has taken an aggregate and created garments using these aggregates, which means we sort of fit in somewhere in the S, M, L, or XL world. Granted, some people might fit in more than others and then there is the rest of the world whose body parts are both S and M or M and L What is the course about?
Every top is created using a basic block which then adapted for style and fit. Therefore we will be providing you with the ultimate foundation. Once we have taught you how to create your basic bodice, you will be taught how to adapt this basic bodice to create your own personal style.
This class will not contain any lesson on sleeves, which means you will be designing a sleeveless top What will I learn during this course?

- Constructing a sleeveless bodice block using measurements
