What happens in this class?

This is a workshop for parent/carers and a child aged 16 or under, booked as a pair.

It will be an introduction to the sewing machine – how it works, how to thread it, select stitches, sew a seam and basic trouble-shooting. We will talk about different fabrics and how to chose the right fabric for the tote bag and measure and cut it accurately.

By the end of the workshop you will be sufficiently confident to go home and get started on your own machine and/or join our dressmaking workshop – AND you will have a lovely tote…
