In this 3 hour lesson you will be using traditional techniques to create 1 to 2 stunning silk roses. Learning from the talented milliner Jessica Broas, you’ll be discussing the best materials for making artificial flowers, cutting petal patterns, hand painting silk and making stamens. In addition, you’ll also learn how to use flower irons to shape petals. Finally, you will construct your very own beautiful silk rose. Take your creativity to the next level and create flowers that reflect your own unique style.

Jessica is an amazing teacher! Very helpful and so so patient. I really enjoyed making a silk rose , but also learning about millinery too! I'm not much of a crafty person and tried this out of sheer curiosity but I would absolutely do another class with Jessica!

Jessica Broas is an American born, London based milliner. Jessica studied Fine Art at Rhode Island School of Design in the States and Goldsmiths College in the UK. Her artwork has been shown around the world in numerous group and solo shows.
