What you will do
3 hour workshop
This workshop will introduce you to the melt and pour soap making technique. Unlike other soap-making techniques, the melt and pour technique offers the opportunity to create soaps and have them set and packaged within a few hours, without the need to wait for weeks for the ingredients to cure. Goldfish Soapies is all about using natural soap bases, fragrances and dyes and we use materials from quality suppliers, which means that you will walk away with soap that truly is naturally hand made by you using sustainable materials. In addition, you will be given a starter pack recipe to help you start your soap making at home.
Soap making will give you the opportunity to create something beautiful, whether you are all about the arts and crafts, or have never even considered yourself doing anything like this before. This is a hands-on workshop that is accessible to everyone and is a therapeutic and relaxing way to spend a few hours. We welcome soap makers of all levels, as well as children. Best of all, you will go home with a bag full of professionally made and wrapped soaps that you can use yourself or gift to your friends and family!
You will have the opportunity to experiment with the creation of large or small block soaps and a selection of simple embeds that can be sliced in a variety of ways to create stunning effects. We will also experiment with a selection of natural fragrances and dyes which you can use to customise your creations to make something that is truly unique. There will be a break for tea or lunch (depending on the time of the class) while the soaps set and we will then look at different ways of wrapping and packaging your work to make it look professional! Following the workshop you will be armed with the right knowledge to start experimenting with soap making in a home setting, and will have the confidence to develop your skills and experiment with different effects.
This workshop is a great way to celebrate a birthday, children’s party or hen do. It is a great gift for someone who you know would enjoy this experience or indeed someone who you know should get out there and try something new!
