Macrame is a traditional rope knotting art form that has been around since the 13th Century; it's popularity was wild in the 70s, and has swung back into interior trends in recent years.

In this class India will teach you a variety of knots to create the framework for a sturdy hanger, then evolving away from the traditional style you can get to work learning how to create colourful fringing and pom poms to give your creation…

Things to remember

If you have a specific pot in mind, please bring it with you so we can fit it to your hanger perfectly; If not, you will make a standard sized hanger to fit a 13-17cm pot.

We learnt how to make a macrame hanging pot with Pom poms. India taught us how to do the different techniques but let us make the hanging pit look how we wanted it to which was great. We also left with a hand out to remind us how to do the techniques if we wanted to make another one :) The venue was great, really relaxed and friendly, would definitely do another class there.
