This is a perfect class to introduce a keen crafter into the skills used in Silversmithing. This ring making workshop includes annealing, hammering, stamping, filing and finishing. Students will also be introduced to piercing and soldering methods. Students will spend time exploring different ways to create marks and surface textures on their silver ring or choose the have plain finish.

Things to remember

This workshop will be run by Jordanne, one half of J&J. The workshop is fully equipped with everything that's needed throughout the day, with each student having their own Jeweller's Bench Peg, Steel block and Piercing saw.

Jordanne was great! I went in quite unsure what I wanted to make, but she guided me into the most epic design! Their studio is so inspiring - the coolest studio I’ve been to yet- was utterly in love with it. A gorgeous little jewellery studio tucked away in a huge warehouse conversion. So brilliant! I had a choice of metal to work with, but I’d previously chatted with Obby to let them know what I wanted so I think that made the whole thing seamless. The whole process was brilliant and I’m so happy with the gift I made. Second workshop I’ve done with these girls and I hope it’s not the last 👏🏼
