This class builds on techniques explored in our Wrap Ring Workshop, including annealing, hammering, stamping, filing and finishing, and also introduces students to piercing and assembling methods.

During the day you will explore ways to mark the surface of your metal. You will pierce out shapes of your choice and then use hammering and stamping techniques to add surface texture. Your design will be completely unique and 100% hand made.

The workshop is fully equipped with everything that's needed throughout the day, with each student having their own Jeweller's Bench Peg, Steel block and Piercing saw.

Things to remember

We will provide homemade cakes and refreshments. If you would like to bring your own lunch we have a fridge, or there is a cafe nearby where you can grab a sandwich. We are providing aprons for you all to keep your clothes safe, but please wear comfortable clothing and…

Not only did I come away with a gorgeous pair of earrings, but I had such a good day. I did the class with several friends so it was a great opportunity to catch up with them and learn something new along the way. Jordanne and Jody were so lovely too so it was great to get to know them as well. Me and two friends had a brilliant day at the silver earring workshop. The whole day was really well planned out, relaxing and enjoyable. Best of all we all ended up with lovely earrings with a great story attached. We went in as complete beginners having never done a course like this before and had no problems with someone always on hand to help if we needed anything. I would definitely recommend!
