Pottery Throwing Class

Took booking for a class and unable to due to moving workshop… don’t take booking. This was for a birthday and refund takes 5-10 days to reach my account… I now can’t book anything in time because I don’t have the funds. Genuinely made, what was supposed to be a good experience awful… not sure what we will be doing now.

We had an excellent time with KC! She was a really nice teacher and it was a lovely relaxed setting where she encouraged us to do what we wanted with the clay! We’d love to come and do more

I was given my pots glazed in a disgusting green khaki I never chose, when the right colors are still carved under each pot. Despite asking, no opportunity given to redo it to correct their mistake.

KC is a really good and thoughtful teacher - she made sure that we understood all the concepts and techniques before we had the freedom to create whatever and however many we wanted. She was also really entertaining and knowledgeable which meant the 2 hours passed by really quickly! Would highly recommend and will definitely come back

The class was great, I booked it for my girlfriend's birthday and we both had a great time. KC was lovely, patient, and really knows her stuff which made the whole experience even better and meant we actually made something we were proud of. Highly recommended.

I have never done pottery before and KC was the most patient teacher. She demonstrated first and guide us later through the whole process. We made 8 little pots on different shapes and we got to keep them!!! Thank you KC !

Bought the throwing class as a gift twice now, once for my girlfriend and once for my mother. I joined them both times and can honestly say that each time was brilliant. They and I enjoyed KCs class enormously. Highlights include the plenty of support and instruction from KC as well of plenty of time on the wheel (you can make around 10 or so pieces easily). Well-worth the money. Paying to have your pots fired with a professional glaze is worth it too, and cheap as chips. Highly recommend.

Couldn’t recommend enough! Really helpful for both beginners and those looking to improve existing pottery skills. Brilliant explanations- my mum managed to make some great pots even as a complete beginner :)

My friend and I had a great time at this session! It felt very personal, with just the 2 of us there, and we each got to make 4 little items. KC is also kindly firing them for us, can't wait to see what they look like! She was very patient, this is a great course for beginners :)

My friend and I had a fantastic time with KC. She made the whole class such fun and explained everything we needed to know clearly and completely. She is a friendly person who clearly has a great passion for pottery and a willingness to share that passion. I'm so glad I chose to take a class with KC. The time seemed to go by in a flash and we threw some really nice pots too. We are looking forward to collecting them when they have been fired. Thank you KC. It was a brilliant evening, finishing off a great day.

An accessible introduction to the world of pottery wheel creation! Great instruction and demonstration before we tried to recreate what she made look so easy. Ample time and clay provided for our many attempts. It was also great to chat away to the knowledgeable and lovely KC whilst we worked. Highly recommend, thank you KC!

I had a great time at this workshop. KC is extremely knowledgeable and experienced in the craft, and patiently guided me through the entire experience. The workspace itself is small but welcoming and cozy. I would highly recommend to anyone who is interested in pottery throwing.

What an amazing class and teacher! I learned so much about spinning on the wheel, different clays and glazes. Would definitely go again!

Wonderful class!!

This was an amazing experience! KC carefully and patiently taught us all the basics, and took time providing valuable feedback and help as we practiced (we never did pottery throwing before). There was plenty of time to practice the throwing multiple times, and explore some different techniques. It felt like a real class where we learned a lot, while still being really fun. It was also a very intimate experience as it was only two of us learning, and KC teaching. At the end, KC offers to fire your items in the kiln and glaze them with the colour of your choice (for a small fee of £3 per item), to be picked up later once ready. I'd definitely recommend this experience! Thanks KC :)

It was very intimate and fun. KC is very friendly, patient and we left the class with a real feel good factor and a new appreciation for ceramics.

Really fun first introduction into pottery with KC in her workshop. She was very knowledgeable and explained the techniques to us well. At the end we were able to choose the pieces we liked the most to be fired in her kiln, and choose one from a number of glazes to coat them in before firing. We had them back in a couple of weeks, paying per piece. A lovely session!

I can thoroughly recommend this class . KC is an excellent informative and patient teacher, full of tips and hints. I came as a complete beginner and by my second week I was throwing all sorts of shapes. You get a lot of time on the wheel but she will also show you how to glaze and tell you about lots of different techniques.

KC was an excellent, patient instructor. We asked a barrage of questions and KC was super well-informed and excited to answer each and every one. The 2:1 ratio is also great, and creates a lot of opportunity for attention. Would definitely recommend this experience!

Ka is a really fun and informative teacher! I did the class with a friend and she made sure both of us were comfortable with the process of throwing and was really encouraging. I will definitely be coming back to learn more and improve my skills, It’s a must do for anyone who wants to get into wheel throwing

It was great! I took the class with my friend and we had so much fun learning more about wheel throwing and pottery. We pottered so much which was incredible. KC was an amazing teacher, she always had a solution when something went a little wrong and explained every detail :) I would always come back to learn more!

Really great class and phenomenal way to learn with just two people per class. KC is patient and comprehensive in her instruction and also will guarantee that you leave the day with at least one piece that you are really proud of and enthusiastic about keeping.

My partner and I booked our first pottery class with KC. We had a great time. The class was intimate (just the three of us), engaging and fun. KC is a great teacher and we definitely recommend the throwing class to others!

Amazing teacher, class and space! The class is intimate, just two people and the teacher. This allows you to get the appropriate attention as a beginner and to learn the technique one on one. She is super flexible, adapting to anything you’d like to learn; plates, cups, jugs, handles! Lots of lovely glazing options. Really recommend! Best pottery class so far :)

My gf and I came into this class having done a couple of introductory pottery classes before (elsewhere), but with no experience of using the the pottery wheel. First impression upon arrival was pleasant surprise to find that the classes are intentionally much smaller than others we had previously been to, which is great as it allows the teacher to dedicate more time and attention to each student. During the class we found KC to be an absolutely fantastic teacher with a very engaging and easygoing style, who clearly has a real passion for her craft. After 2.5hrs with her we were somewhat amazed that we had somehow ended up with 5 bowls and 2 plates ready to be glazed and fired in the kiln! If you are interested in pottery this is the perfect place to try it out. We will definitely be booking more sessions in the studio with KC in the coming weeks :)
