What you will do
3 hour workshop
Join us at Nightingales Emporium for this exciting and fun group workshop!
To begin with, you will be introduced to the clay and learn a bit about the properties and the process.
You will then be shown how to build your pot form and given some time to work on it whilst being able to chat to others in the group. Candy will be there to help every step of the way!
Then you will be shown how to make and apply the boobs, suited to your preference (this is always the best bit! ).
Finally, you will have time to paint and decorated your finished piece, to make it truly unique.
This is a great opportunity for those interested in learning some ceramic hand building techniques with a fun twist in a relaxed environment.
This is a BYOB event, so bring something to sip on if you fancy!
The workshop runs for 2 hours.
You pieces will be fired and glazed after the workshop by Candy and ready to collect within 4 weeks.
Maximum of 10 potters per session so book in advance to avoid dissappointment.

About your host, Candy's Ceramics
Candy’s pottery classes are taught within the eclectic Nightingales Emporium, located just opposite Hornsey station.
After finishing her degree in Ceramic Design at Central Saint Martins, Candy was keen to pass on her learnt skills to others. Around teaching, Candy also makes her own work which is focused on the female form and explores representing this in the medium of clay.
Candy has worked with a wide range of students from young children, people with learning disabilities, mature students and people living with dementia. Candy’s teaching style is tailored to the individuals needs, in a relaxed and friendly environment.
With both group sessions and one to one sessions available, you are sure to find a class to suit you.
Parties and workshops available, please contact if you have any inquiries!
Please wear clothes and shoes that you don’t mind getting a little dirty (clay will come out in the wash). Nightingales Emporium is accessible by train, right opposite Hornsey station. There is also street parking.
