Candy’s pottery classes are taught within the eclectic Nightingales Emporium, located just opposite Hornsey station.

After finishing her degree in Ceramic Design at Central Saint Martins, Candy was keen to pass on her learnt skills to others. Around teaching, Candy also makes her own work which is focused on the female form and explores representing this in the medium of clay.

Candy has worked with a wide range of students from young children, people with learning disabilities, mature students and people living with dementia. Candy’s teaching style is tailored to the individuals needs, in a relaxed and friendly environment.

With both group sessions and one to one sessions available, you are sure to find a class to suit you.

Parties and workshops available, please contact if you have any inquiries!

My best friend and I signed up to Candy's signature boob pottery class. We were 8 beautiful women having a go at making boobs we have or would like to have. I've never had so much fun and laughs while doing something so different and creative. Highly recommend.

I learnt how to make different style pots, and tailored them to my preference! I learnt the basic steps, and then learnt various techniques such as shape and design. Candy was informative, kind and helpful. She made me feel at ease and the 1:1 class was definitely helpful. The venue was quirky and cosy, we absolutely loved the area we was in! I would definitely recommend to any friends / family and had great fun!

I booked myself and a friend a private pottery class and it was everything we hoped for and more. Candy is a great teacher, she was very patient and considerate. When one method wasn’t working for us, she gave us other options and allowed us to keep trying until we got there. while she taught my friend first how to use the potters wheel, I made items with clay by hand. This allowed for more one on one time with Candy which was exactly what you need when learning a new skill. We thoroughly enjoyed our lesson and I’m definitely going to book another :)

The class was great. We booked this as an anniversary present for ourselves and it was really good fun. The space is a lovely little workshop and Candy was very friendly and informative. We were complete beginners and a little nervous but candy put us at ease and taught us how to use a pottery wheel. It's a lot to cover in 2 hours but we managed to make three pieces each in that time. I would definitely recommend this class. Candy is lovely, the class is great and the venue was nice too.
