Calligraphy and Cocktails

I booked a class with Eleanor as a birthday gift for my Mum. We both had the loveliest time learning with Eleanor, she’s so patient and kind, and tailored the class to us. She has so much skill and knowledge and is an all round lovely human! Thanks Eleanor 😍 Highly recommend!

Spent a beautiful morning learning calligraphy with Eleanor - we had a lovely time, learned a new skill and had lots of fun and laughs - and we now have beautiful kits to practice with! I attended Eleanor's Valentine Special Calligraphy course for beginners and would highly recommend this course to anyone looking to try their hand at something a little different. For beginners, this class was great - Eleanor was really friendly and encouraging throughout, even when I messed up! There were also some lovely little touches on arrival - Eleanor had set everyone up with a gorgeous little pack containing everything that was needed for the session. It's great to find a class where such attention to detail is present - and it really set the tone for the rest of the session. Thanks Eleanor, I'll be keeping an eye out for more if your classes!

Wonderful class. Eleanor is a great teacher and made learning easy - she is especially patient with beginners. We had so much fun.. this class is a must do (particularly for anyone who has invites to send out!)

Had my first calligraphy lesson with the lovely Eleanor, and had the most brilliant time. Eleanor is a great teacher, who started off with the basics of modern calligraphy materials and mark making - who know you hold a calligraphy pen differently to how you usually hold a normal pen?! Then we got down to the fun part, with helpful tips from Eleanor along the way - it basically felt like a one to one class, even though there was 9 other people there! Highlights definitely have to be the delicious cake and the cocktails provided throughout. Best of all we get to take our materials home at the end to continue our calligraphy journey at home! Thanks so much Eleanor!

This was my first class with Eleanor and I couldn’t have been happier with the experience. I hadn’t done calligraphy before and was a bit nervous about my (lack of!) abilities, but she was super supportive and good at demonstrating in an accessible way. A really fun way to spend an evening alone or with friends— highly recommend!

This calligraphy course was excellent! We had a really enjoyable evening and Eleanor was very hospitable. I left with a new skill as well - Eleanor was very patient with her teaching and I learnt a lot in a relatively short amount of time. I would definitely attend another of Eleanor's classes, they are great for catching up with friends, or date nights!

As a total lettering virgin, this class was such a great introduction to calligraphy! Eleanor was really calm, patient and knowledgeable about modern calligraphy and the setting was really relaxed too. Anything involving a glass of fizz gets an extra thumbs up from me ;) Would definitely recommend this for anyone who wants to do something a bit different for Valentines Day.

I have been following Eleanor on instagram for years and always enjoyed her thoughtful and creative posts and stories. I was delighted to then see that she had started teaching calligraphy and immediately signed up to her class, and I wasn't disappointed! This was a great introductory class into the right materials and how to use them with lots of demonstrations and tips. Eleanor was a great teacher and made the class fun as well as relaxing.

This was my first creative class I’ve ever taken. I was super nervous as I’m not artistic at all but Eleanor made me feel very comfortable and I came away with my very own calligraphy kit and can continue to practice my new learned skills. Not only was everything presented and prepared beautifully but the setting was really lovely and intimate. I can’t wait to sign up for my next class!

This was such a fun and informative class in a Gorgeous space. The set of tools were beautifully presented and all clearly explained with lots of demonstrations that I could have watched all day! Who knew how relaxing calligraphy could be?! There was a lot of on to one help and Eleanor was so supportive when I was struggling. A great beginners class!

Eleanor is clearly a great calligrapher and obviously incredibly talented at what she does! I have been to so many classes unfortunately where being good at something and being able to teach it don't go hand in hand, but this was not the case in Eleanor's class!! She was really informative, helpful, kind and very patient every time I went wrong... which was a lot, I need to get practicing! I would recommend this class to anyone who wants to learn calligraphy for the first time, or even as a refresher... I definitely will be booking another class soon! Thanks Eleanor!

Had a really great evening learning the art of calligraphy. Not only was it a friendly and fun atmosphere, but I really learned a lot too! Eleanor was a really good teacher-her demonstrations were really useful (she’s clearly very talented!) and she gave really good one-to-one advice throughout the class (and answered my slightly random questions too!). The venue was lovely-I felt very well looked after and it was a really calm and cosy place to spend an evening. Would highly recommend to anyone looking to have a go at calligraphy
