- Ways of working and file organisation 
- Go through the setting up a document for print or web
- Talk through the design you wish to achieve
- Go through the process of how to add type and images
- There will be a discussion about Graphic Design and layout design which will provide you with ideas which you can either implement in the session or go home and practice
- Finally you will be talked through the export options for your document

This session is designed to be taught in small groups so that there is time for you to ask questions and for your teacher to demonstrate as you go along. If you would like to bring your own project to work on please reply to your booking confirmation with details.

Join me for a 2 hour workshop where you will build a tiny noise making device using just a few electrical components.

"-"You will learn to build your own "super simple oscillator" which is the main device in an electronic instrument that actually produces the sound.

"-"No previous experience is necessary, I will teach how to use a soldering iron to attach the components to the circuit.

"-"I use re-purposed plastic containers to house the finished product.

"-"The finished result can be plugged into any type of mixer or portable speaker for those wishing to record it or play loud.

"-"take your finished instrument home at the end of the workshop.

Simple Synthesiser building workshop

This course is a trimmed version of the online short course I teach at Central Saint Martins, exclusively tailored to children.
It introduces P5.js, a Javascript library aimed at creative visual expression through code. While learning the programming language, children will apply coding principles in a fun and engaging way. Skills learned on the course can be applied to further learning of programming in any area such as game development, data visualisation etc..
Over the last few weeks I have been teaching it to my son and his friends online, and it seems to work well, keeping them engaged and motivated to learn more.
