2 hour workshop
The London Loom is the home of freestyle weaving in London. Why? Because we're ace - just ask our customers, last week someone hugged us on her way out and said "That was my dream night", thanks Sally, you're our dream too.
Our studio is pretty magnificent, we have over 400 yarns for you to play with, there are loads of natural fibres to choose from but also a heck ton of neon eyelash yarns and pom pom yarns from Japan to experiment with.
Our price includes the loom which we have made by a local joiner just for us, the tapestry comb that we design specifically for our classes and a tapestry needle. We don't expect you to finish your piece in the class because this is a slow and meditative craft, so we make sure you have everything you need to carry on weaving at home.
If you really love it (which we're sure you will) we've started our 'Tapestry Club' where you can come once a month, bring your new loom and a beer and get full use out of our epic yarn wall to follow on from this beginners class.
If you want to learn how to weave on a tapestry loom in an inspiring studio with enthusiastic teachers and good music, we're your place.

About your host, The London Loom
The London Loom is a weaving studio in Hackney in East London. Created by Francesca Kletz and Brooke Dennis after tiring of their work in education and fashion. The London Loom was founded to build a community of people who love making things with their hands and appreciate how good it is for you.
At The London Loom we want to encourage people to indulge in creating for pure satisfaction and fun. We hold community workshops and smaller classes in our studio where we welcome adults and children to work alongside each other; we believe that creativity and inspiration can come from anywhere, it’s not limited to age or background.
Ultimately we want to share the good that we feel from learning new skills and making beautiful, tactile things. We teach and host a range of ‘alternative craft’ classes as well as our beginners weaving classes, as long as there’s something to make, new people to meet and obnoxiously loud laughter to be had, we’re happy.
No need to bring anything! Except a booze cup. That is always OK to bring.
