What happens in this class?

You’ll learn how to create a fascinator base on a comb or hairband and be introduced to traditional millinery stitches which will enable you to carry on creating at home. You will also explore different methods and materials to trim and decorate your work - from learning how to make sculptural sinamay twists and use fanciful feathers, to adding instant glamour with veiling.

Additional Information:

Basic hand sewing skills are required.

Tea, coffee & biscuits will be provided.

We will break for a 30 minute lunch at 1pm. A local shop and cafe/restaurant are just a few minutes walk away, however please feel free to bring your own lunch.

This was the second course I have completed with Joanne and I cannot give her enough credit for how informative and skilled she is. The class was intimate with only 3 people participating, meaning Joanne was able to give a huge amount of time to each student.
