Did you know?

Miniature landscaping is most popular in Japan where people combine small plants with bonsais to create woodland scenes. We will be adding special microscopic organisms to your soil which help your plants to remain healthy and to grow.

I learnt all about which plants live well together, how to make the perfect potting mix, and how to combine it all into a really pretty display. The teacher was really nice and the venue is great, loads of good food and drinks.

Me and my mum learnt all about different types of plants. We had a huge range to choose from, some of which I had never seen before. The teacher was really friendly and knew loads about plants. The class was just outside Rootlabs were they have converted a double decker bus into an urban farm, very cool.

A really educational time spent understanding the different soil and climate requirements and house plants. A great and generous selection of plants an objects. Great venue. Left with a gorgeous new table top planter.

I had a great time at the miniature living landscape workshop with Rootlabs. Not only did I have a really fun time creating my own miniature living landscape with plants and flowers of my choice but also learned a whole bunch of interesting things on the history of plants and gardening. The workshops that Rootlabs regularly runs are an excellent way to mentally 'escape' from the busy urban environment while still in the city and meet new people that are keen to explore the art of gardening and planting further. I am looking forward to attending their next workshops.
