There is only one stitch to master in tambour embroidery. Instead of a needle, very fine, sharp hook is punched through a tightly stretched fabric to catch a fine thread from beneath and draw it up, creating a linked, chain-like stitch.
You will learn how to work the hook through the fabric without catching following a pattern and how to start and stop. Once you finish stitching your design you will then be shown how to finish the back of a hoop neatly making it ready for display.
