I was a complete beginner and I felt like the zoom set up wasn't the best way to support learning crochet from scratch. Although the kit received before the class was excellent, the class itself did not live up to my expectations. Zoom camera was difficult to see as set up position meant alot of the demonstration was out of view and at an angle. All the major steps to being able to complete a granny square were covered within the very early parts of the class in too little time and detail for my liking and pace. I would have benefitted from a very slow step by step - making sure everyone had acheived it before moving on. As it was I felt left behind and not very supported. The class facilitator had a good grasp of crochet and was nice but I didn't feel that she had considered the way to impart the information positively and successfully. I left feeling frustrated and incapable. I wouldn't do it again.
