A relaxed, fun and informal class, introducing you to hand embroidery. We will explore colour, create texture and develop shapes, using a wide variety of yarns, threads and beads. This class is perfect for those new to embroidery and using basic stitches the tutor will help you to create your own individual and unique piece of work.  Our tutor brings a vast array of different  textures and colours and goes through with you how best to combine them to make one gorgeous piece of art work. 

We will work on a 7” wooden hoop, and you will be shown options for backing and finishing the hoop ready to take home and hang.

A relaxed, fun and informal class, introducing you to hand embroidery

You may recognise this type of embroidery from your Grandma's home in the 60s, but now it is back! Well, actually it never really left. Bargello is a truly unique form of embroidery as there are both specific stitches and patterns required to make Bargello, Bargello. 

During the class you will be introduced to the typical 'Vertical' stitch used throughout all Bargello, and then you'll get your head around the geometric patterns which are also characteristic of Bargello. You'll be stitching in no time, either one of our patterns or your own design, as our tutor is on hand to teach you how to use this unique form of embroidery to design your own unique pattern. Bargello can be used on normal fabric-like needlepoint fabric but we're using plastic canvas so that you can turn your Bargello design into a coaster! Or you can sew them up to create a pencil holder, plant pot, tissue box cover even.

The teacher calls these "mini tins of joy and me time!" You will choose from a selection of seasonal fragrances; from the ever popular Black Pomegranate to one of our favourites, Apple Crumble and Custard!

No matter which scent you choose the candles that you will make will have approximately 15 hours burn time each - perfect time for you to enjoy the scents you choose. At the end of the class you will have learnt the art of making the perfect candle and would have created a memorable gift set of candles.

It's a challenge to give these away - as you will want to keep them all for yourself.

As macrame becomes increasingly popular, cropping up everywhere from homewares to jewellery to clothing and all over Pinterest, we are showing you how to recreate these designs yourself with our beginner's workshop. In this class you will learn:

- What materials to use and where to buy them
- How to do basic macrame knots 
- How to read macrame patterns

You will combine different knots and techniques to create a beautiful vintage inspired macrame plant hanger to take home with you. Use your skills to make yourself a wall hanging when you get home. Its all possible once you know the basic knots and how to read a pattern.

Punch Needle crafting is a very relaxing and therapeutic craft. It's a cross between embroidery and rag rug latch hooking. You can create two different effects at the same time with your tool. One side is flat stitches and the other side has a loopy shaggy look but you can mix and match these effects on the same side for added dimension and texture.

I really enjoyed this class.  I am left-handed and the tutor was enthusiastic and extremely patient.  The class is small so you have one on one time if you're not picking the technique up straight away.  If you want to learn how to crochet, I highly recommend this class.

I have really enjoyed this friendly, helpful and relaxed workshop. I wasn't an absolute beginner to crochet, but I didn't expect to get as much out of the class as I did! A beginner screen printing workshop that will take you through the details of screen printing vintage patterns

You’ve probably owned/borrowed/wished for a knitted scarf from your dear Grandma, but never believed you could knit yourself one too! 

In this relaxed workshop you’ll learn how to knit, cast on and cast off techniques and how make pom-poms (or tassels) and sew them to your hand knitted scarf. By the end of the class you’ll be able to knit the desired length you choose to make yourself the perfect scarf! 

We only use the most luxurious 100% pure Merino in this workshop (retail value of the yarn is £30) and get to take home your own bamboo knitting needles too too keep for your 2nd, 3rd and even 4th scarf because you will be hooked we guarantee it!

Our venue is private and super crafty! We host craft classes every night and we know how to make you feel just at home, with a cup of coffee or tea as soon as you arrive and some cake. As well as the most patient teachers - we've never had anyone leave us who didn't know how to knit at the end of our sessions. 

How to Knit a Scarf - Complete Beginners

Knit a Gorgeous Squishy Scarf without any Knitting Experience AT ALL!

After over two and a half hours of knitting and knattering, you'll feel like a pro; you’ll have learned all the basics including: 

- The knit and purl stitch
- How to cast on and cast off
- Stocking stitch

The class size is kept quite small so you will be get a lot of help and tuition throughout the course of the workshop. 

This school were the first workshop venue to set up and teach knitting and crochet in London, i'ts what they are best known for and they've had many years of teaching these wonderful mindful and relaxing crafts (although over the past 7 years we've grown so check out our other workshops).

In this is a 2.5 hour practical silver jewellery making workshop you will learn the basics of silver jewellery making by our resident expert designer silversmith. Silver Jewellery Making - Make a Ring or a Necklace (Your Choice!)

This is the answer if you are thinking what to do for your 25th anniversary. I booked a 2 person session to make silver rings for each other and I have to say, it was a massive hit. In one go, I received about 30 million brownie points! I'm used to getting in the region of 3-5 points so this is new territory for me and I'm not quite sure to do with them all tbh...maybe I can retire?
Aside from making the perfect gift (doesn't need to be 25th) it would be a great way to extend your craftiness abilities. A must do!!

Learn to make a stunning silver ring (or necklace!) that you'll wear forever. 

For the gel candle you'll use some clever methods to preserve your choice of dried flower petals (if you have any sentimental dried flowers you would like to bring in please do) and metallic flakes into the gel wax to make a striking candle. Our expert tutor will show you how to add and scent a separate soy wax candle in the centre of the gel wax. Yes this can sound confusing but keep reading :-).

This means you can burn the soy candle down and once it is finished you can pop in a tealight of your choice and keep on using it! The unique combination of hemp wicks and soy wax gives a long lasting burn whilst also being vegan and eco friendly. All candles come with a metal lid making these great for gifts or as a statement home addition.For the concrete base and candle option the tutor has hand poured the concrete in specially made moulds to create a smooth and beautiful finish. You will then be able to paint and decorate these before filling it with an eco friendly blend of soy wax, hemp wick and Paraben free fragrance. So not only will you learn how to make a candle you will also decorate your own concrete base which you can re-use. Once the candle has burnt out you can re-use the pot; add a succulent or a tealight to make beautiful concrete décor to your home!

This jar is bigger than the Slim Cork jar option at 20cmH x 20cmW

Once built, your garden will require very minimal maintenance and we will teach you all the necessary steps on how to build your garden layer by layer and how to care for it afterwards with our ongoing care service and support for anyone needing some planty advice.

What is a Terrarium:

It's a fascinating enclosed miniature environment of living plants that thrive off moisture that requires minimal interference once established.

Terrarium Masterclass 

Come and enjoy this 2.5 hour workshop getting creative and jewellery making. Craft your very own hammered sterling silver ring, whether as a gift for somebody or a treat for yourself. Hosted by expert jewellers.

They will guide you through the process of making a ring using traditional goldsmithing techniques such as annealing, forging, soldering, and filing to name but a few. In this workshop you will have the option of making either a wide hammered band or two fine hammered stacking rings (as pictured). Over the course of the class you will have plenty of opportunity to practice your newfound skills, as demonstrated by the jewellers throughout.

There’ll be plenty of opportunity for one-to-one interaction with the jewellers during your session.

We offer gold plating as an optional extra which can be requested and paid for at the end of the workshop. Choose from yellow gold, rose gold or black rhodium plating for your finished ring(s) - prices range from £20 - £40. Please note this service takes up to 3 weeks and you will need to leave your ring(s) with us, which can then be collected or posted out.

Suitable for complete beginners with no previous jewellery making experience.

Participants must be 18 or over.
