Introduction to lino cut: Students are often surprised at how quickly their skills develop. At the end of the session you will know and be able:

to use the carving tools and the basic cutting techniques.
to experiment with a practice block and mark making.
to transform your imagined idea into a creative piece of art, postcard or visual story.

Composing your design: You may wish to bring some of your own images to work from, however plenty of inspiration is available to assist your decision-making process…

Svetlana was a very attentive, caring and experienced teacher, giving space for everyone to understand the process, at the same time making sure the tools were used safely and everyone understood the how to create a design and finished print.
