In this two hour introduction to the exciting art of mono-printing you'll:

Start with some fun drawing warm-up exercises
Explore and experiment with the full range of prints that can be made using the technique of mono-printing
Get creative and experiment with adding colour to your mono-prints using a range of materials
Make a beautiful set of mono-printed cards using your newly acquired mono-printing skills!

You'll leave full of confidence and creative inspiration, equipped with all you'll need to know to be able to practice and develop your own mono-printing…

Things to remember

All materials for the workshop will be provided. The printing ink is water soluble and aprons will be provided but wearing clothes that you don't mind getting a bit of ink on is advisable. Tea, coffee and cake will be provided.

I loved the mono printing class with marigold. It started with a drawing exercise which really helped me to be confident in my drawing, before moving onto the drawing on ink. I learnt about negative and positive space with the ink and how the different natural objects (we had leaves) could be used. I came away with a sketch book, my own series of leaf prints and a pack of my own cards which could be printed on gifted. Marigold was lovely, very calming and knowledgeable. The house studio was really nice, we had tea and cake and chatted and Marigold was guided by what I wanted to learn and do, eg offering more techniques or letting me expand on the ones she had taught. Thank you Marigold for an inspiring class.
