What happens in this class?

This 3 hour throwing workshop will take you to the next steps of throwing on the wheel. Our tutor, Ella has been working with clay for 7 years and recently completed her MA in ceramics. Extras that we will cover will be: Necks for vases Different types of rims/lips Lids With classes capped at 5 participants, you’ll have plenty of guidance and support throughout the session and you’ll have your own wheel throughout. Great throwing workshop on Tuesday evening. Our lovely instructor demonstrated how to get the desired shape and spent lots of time working with each of us to get the correct technique to throw 4 "identical" bowls. Highly recommended.

Workshop 305 have created a relaxed studio atmosphere with a spacious ground floor that is divided into 2 large studios with a kiln room as well as a kitchen/dining area. The fully accessible building allows access for everyone.

Day to day, the workshop has classes for students with disabilities but also runs evening workshops in pottery, mosaics and print making for both adults and children with all abilities.
