FAQs
How many people will there be in each class?
There will be up to 8 students per session. We pride ourselves in our more relaxed intimate environment allowing more one on one time with the teacher.
What Should I Wear?
While the majority of clay can easily be washed out of your clothing, working with terracotta and deeper colours can leave stains. Please come dressed in clothing you do not mind getting dirty and can easily be put through the washing machine. We will provide each maker with an apron for their use during the session.
What Should I bring?
Each class will be fully stocked with all the materials and tools needed. All clay, glazes and firings are included within the cost of the course.
Will there be food provided?
We will provide a range of teas and coffees and some biscuits. If you would like some a more substantial meal we are conveniently located near Mercato Metropolitano and Borough Market where you can find a range of local restaurants and delis.
Do you have disability access?
Our studio is fully wheelchair accessible. If you have any special needs or requirements please let us know in advance and we will try and accommodate you as best as possible.

I loved learning how to use this method. Liz is a brilliant teacher. The goes at a good pace and is really supportive. There’s a good number of people in the class so you don’t get lost or have to wait too long for help. Would highly recommend.

This was my second slipcasting workshop with Decima and I enjoyed it! Each instructor brings slightly different and new insights to the class, which is very helpful for the students. Liz was a great instructor and led the class effectively - she was very efficient, keeping us moving along at a good pace, which meant we were able to see both of our pieces after they had been removed from their molds.

As a pottery enthusiast, I am always on the lookout for unique and inspiring courses to further develop my skills. The Decima Clay Pottery Course and School is, without a doubt, one of the most exceptional experiences I've had in my journey with ceramics.

I really had a great time on the workshop learning about the slip casting technique and the decoration process. The studio is nice and the teacher was so kind and helpful. I will repeat for sure with more courses. I totally recommend it.

Absolutely loved this class and would love it if it was even longer - slipcasting is surprisingly addictive! The tutor was great, really down to earth, knowledgeable and happy to answer any queries. The studio is great too, so easy to get to with a lovely environment.
