Perfect for beginners to really get your teeth into learning the basic skills of mosaic making, using the tools, cutting glass and ceramic, making a design, laying the pieces, sticking and grouting.

You will start off with a small basic project like a small wall panel, a tile or a useful trivet, a little mirror, some coasters for example which you would expect to complete and then possibly move on to another piece which you may well complete - but if not you will have the skills and know-how to be able to finish at home.

What do I need to bring with me?

Please bring an apron - and a packed lunch if you like, although there are several lovely little cafes for lunch if you prefer. There is free tea & coffee available throughout the day.

You can bring ideas about what to make if you like - or you can just turn up and be inspired by all the lovely materials and other resources available.

Is there parking available at the centre?

Yes there is ample free parking at the centre - in the unlikely event the car park is full then there is free weekend parking in neighbouring streets.

A fabulous two days mosaic making. Sarah is a lovely teacher and guide, covering artistic and technical aspects of mosaic and helping each person with their unique projects. There's a big choice of bases and tiles/glass to choose from and all the tools you need plus books and drawings for inspiration. For me it's the best mosaic workshop.
