What happens in this class?

We provide weekly art classes to adults, personalising the programme to each individual student.

You have the option to book one or multiple sessions and attend on a weekly or ad-hoc basis; whatever works best for you.

In your first session, we will explore some drawing techniques followed by starting an acrylic painting on canvas, unless you have some ideas of what you would like to do.

Things to remember

You will not need to bring along any art materials (unless you want to paint on an A1 canvas) as we have everything here! Keep in mind to wear clothes you don't mind getting messy or bring an apron!

I booked an initial block of 6 sessions and I enjoyed it so much that I've just booked another block of 12 sessions. I like the flexibility of being able to skip sessions without losing them, which is vital for my work schedule, and I've really enjoyed the drawing and painting that I've learnt so far (I'm a total beginner) and am looking forward to learning new skills.

Matt is a really enthusiastic and positive teacher, and my confidence with art has definitely improved since coming to Art-K. I have been really inspired to develop my own ideas with the artwork I've always wanted to create. It's a really relaxing venue, and the calming and creative environment is really refreshing. There is nothing else like Art-K in Winchester, I thoroughly recommend!

Matt is a superb art teacher, full of enthusiasm and knowledge! He made the class very engaging and was really good at giving me step by step guidance, encouragement and advice. He creates a fun atmosphere making me feel very at ease approaching paints on canvas! It was a great hour and a half for myself in the middle of a busy week! I would highly recommend art-K Winchester!
