B. 1990. Harriet trained for 3 and a half years in the traditional technique of sight-size in Florence. This technique teaches a new way to “see” and to paint from life to the scale of life.
On returning to London Harriet set up her studio where she has worked professionally for the past 5 years. Her training led her to initially focus on portraits and classical still life paintings, mainly flowers. It is the ephemeral nature of both a fleeting facial expression and a delicate petal that fascinate her.
