first timer - 30 September 2021
Matt was welcoming and patient with a first timer finding out what painting might involved and trying out new techniques. It was very enjoyable but I did not like the venue very much with small windows too high to see out.
Still considering whether to sign up for more classes but I could not find adult classes on the website.

I did a drop in class last week with Matt and enjoyed it so much I had to book in for a full term. I left the class with a wonderful piece of art work and was fully inspired to try out different techniques. I cannot wait until the next class and to have more finished artwork for displaying at home.

The studio is really quirky and Matt created a relaxed but fun atmosphere. I haven't done an art class since my O Level 40 years ago so I was a little nervous. We started by talking through perspective and depth before thinking about creating a final piece. I left with a tonal painting in cassel brown stain, which I was pleased with. Hoping to return in a couple of weeks to explore a new medium.
