What happens in this class?

We provide weekly art classes to adults, personalising the programme to each individual student. In this one-off art session, you will choose from a variety painting or drawing projects and go home with a completed piece of art! You have the choice of creating a beautiful Ann Blockley watercolour painting, a John Waterhouse tonal stain painting or a gorgeous negative animal drawing (inverting the natural by drawing with white on black paper). Things to remember

For our art class you won't need to bring any materials as we have everything here! Keep in mind to wear clothes or an apron that you don't mind getting messy.

A great drop in class run by Jess- 2 hours just flew by! Jess is encouraging, and really helps you translate your vision on to paper or canvas. It would be great if the Purley branch could also run these classes at the weekends, I’m sure it would attract many more budding artists.

I was looking to do something different with my evenings after work, and I am happy to say I picked the right thing! Alice was a great teacher who was courteous and very forthcoming in asking what I wanted from the session. I ended up leaving with a drip painting that I am really happy with, and it was great to spend some time in a fun and creative space for a few hours!
