Do we need any experience to be able to draw a portait?
No, this is complete beginners.
Can we draw directly from a person or do we need a photograph?
You can draw directly from a person sitting in front of you or you could use a photograph. Though a photograph is going to be more difficult because you would need to enlarge the photograph or grid it to your size of paper.
What about a person who is wearing glasses?
You would need to add them to the portrait as it is part of them. You could start off without them them add them later.
