Why explore figure drawing?
If you want to achieve a sense of 3 dimensionality of the human figure, you need to concentrate on the ‘interior’ body, rather then just the ‘outline’.

• how does the form interact with certain light (shadow, highlight)
• how does it sit and balance in space (weight and counterpoint)
• how do the muscles and skeletal armature hold the body together, what does it feel like to be in that pose, the physical sensations (imagine with your eyes closed).

Explore new mediums Work with inks, pencils, collage, acrylic etc and mix mediums.
