For the workshop you will need:

  • Calligraphy brush pen (Tom Bow ABT Dual Brush Pen is recommended and what Bee will be using)

Bee Davies is an Illustrator based in North London. Specialising in Florals and Modern Calligraphy, Bee spends her days creating bespoke orders and custom pieces for all sorts of creative needs. Really great class! Bee is helpful and patient. The little hints and tips she gives throughout the class are so beneficial and really make a difference to your font! This class was fun! Bee had a solid lesson structure starting simple with lettering and working our way up to laying out a phrase on the page with out newfound skills. I'd say make sure you have the right type of brush pen even if you don't get Bee's set. There weren't too many people and Bee was super conscientious about showing us things, answering questions, and even writing our own phrases out for us. It would have been great to go round our own work and get some feedback but I appreciate with only an hour that's ambitious! This is one of those skills that does require practise but it was great to be set on the right path. Thanks!

Bee was very thorough in explaining the technique perfectly. Loved how she helped with giving quotes structure so they sit well on a page. Even if u have some experience in lettering i think you should take this class as there is always room for improvement.
