Mindfulness has become such a buzzword over recent years, but it is an integral part of any yoga practice. During this beginners guide you will explore simple ways of bringing mindfulness into your daily lives whether you are a yoga practitioner or not. 

The beauty with mindfulness is that it can be integrated into any lifestyle, even busy ones with little spare time. Also you do not need to be able to sit cross-legged to attend this workshop! All are welcome, regardless of experience.

Life can become overwhelming and we can at times get caught up in negative ruts focusing on all that is not right. A mindfulness practice of gratitude allows us to bring our attention to the things that we can be grateful for. Cultivating this mindset on a daily basis can bring change not only to how we perceive things, but also to the actions we put out there, enhancing our lives and the lives of others.

For many people, spring cleaning means tidying the home and organising disarray - a tidy home, a tidy mind, and all that. But what about your mind? Our external environment is a mirror reflection of our internal world; so when our minds are full of mental clutter, overrun by thoughts, deadlines, and to-do lists, life appears chaotic and overwhelming.Take some well deserved time to clear out the old, outdated thoughts from your mind, creating space to nurture the beliefs and ideas that keep you inspired.
 
Alexandra will guide you through a series of meditations with room for exploration that will leave you feeling rejuvenated and energised full of intention for the coming months.

Compassion requires us to soften our hearts. In traditional mindfulness practices, this process starts with finding the capacity to explore an attitude of compassion towards ourselves, to then be able to extend it to others. You will work with loving kindness meditations, as you explore the capacity to find deep states of relaxation, softening your body to soften your heart. 
 
Suitable for all levels of experience including absolute beginners.

A Restorative Practice of Compassion

Yogi Yoga

The day will start with a 60-75 minute yoga and meditation session. The practice will allow us to start exploring the power of working with intentions: how to visualize them, set them and continue to work with them over time.

We will work on the different spheres and areas of our lives through guided meditation, visualization and journaling, in order to be ready to start putting our vision boards together.
The vision board will emanate from deep within, after the work done in the initial stages of the workshop and will be a creative process of collage, drawing, painting, writing. Attendees will be free to use their creativity and continue to develop and grow their vision board after the workshop. The tools to be able to create your own vision boards, when desired, will be explored.
