I am providing weekend coding classes for kids aged 6-10 using Scratch which is a great way for beginners to learn the fundamentals of programming. 

Learning how to code is not about learning a specific language and syntax but to be able to break down a problem, and solve it systematically using logical thinking. We will be building games, chatbots and interactive apps with the help of MIT-developed Scratch.

Courses consist of six two and a half hour sessions and can be purchased as a bundle. During the first half an hour we go over the project we covered last time, which kids will have to finish as part of the homework, if they don't finish within the two hours. The remaining two hours we will be doing a different project each week. Kids will work independently, interacting with other students, and supervised by me if they have questions or get stuck.

I can teach in English, Russian and German.

My name is Lisa - I am a freelance Data Scientist with almost a decade of academic teaching experience which I gained during my PhD at UCL, as well as working as an Associate Lecturer at UCL, giving weekend schools at the University of Oxford and mentoring university students privately. Last year I also started teaching kids how to code. I had some previous experience working with kids and decided to offer my services to kids of Ukrainian refugees for free. They really enjoyed it and this year I want to continue teaching kids how to code using Scratch (https://scratch.mit.edu/). I can teach in English, Russian and German and the materials are also available in these languages.

Digital Marketing - 12 Courses Complete Bundle at QLS Level 5

During this class you will be taken through the basics of InDesign so that you walk away from the session with more confidence. The structure of the session will be as follows:

Ways of working and file organisation
Go through the setting up a document for print or web
Talk through the design you wish to achieve
Go through the process of how to add type and images
There will be a discussion about Graphic Design and layout design which will provide you with ideas which you can either implement in the session or go home and practice
Finally you will be talked through the export options for your document

Simple Synthesiser building workshop

This course is a trimmed version of the online short course I teach at Central Saint Martins, exclusively tailored to children.
It introduces P5.js, a Javascript library aimed at creative visual expression through code. While learning the programming language, children will apply coding principles in a fun and engaging way. Skills learned on the course can be applied to further learning of programming in any area such as game development, data visualisation etc..
