Through this introductory course you will learn the fundamentals of the analytics software including the basics of the Google Analytics interface and standard reports that you need to monitor, evaluate and collect metrics for your website. The course will begin by exploring the key features of the analytics platform and how it is used. It will also help you define objectives and formulate KPIs while recognising features of tracking. As you move into the main modules of the course you will be able to set up Google Analytics properly, setting user permissions, navigating around the menu, creating a report structure and understanding metrics. Students will learn how to work with standard reports and use various reporting techniques such as segmentation, filters and sharing. By the end of the course students should develop a comprehensive understanding of this software, being able to navigate around the platform with ease, understanding the main terms used in Google analytics and starting to formulate answers to common questions about website traffic and performance.
