Join this workshop for a morning of inspiring movement and work towards learning famous repertoire from the iconic ballet Coppelia! Coppelia is the magical story of a doll who comes to life and a joyful celebration, it performed internationally each year and is famous for its vibrant and enchanting choreography.

This is a unique opportunity for dancers who would like to learn what it’s like to rehearse and perform as part of a corps de ballet. We will be learning the iconic "Swanhilda and Friends" from Coppelia Act I.

The workshop will include:

- 30 minutes of barre work and warm up
- 2 hours Repertoire, corps de ballet and Swanhilda's entry
- 30 minutes performing - as solos, duets or groups (with the option to be filmed/ take individual or group photographs)

**Ballet Photography**

We will be joined on the day by the incredible dance photographer, Aidan CK. He will be snapping shots throughout the workshop and is available to take individual and group shots at the end! These will be shared with attendees through our social media/website following the workshop.

This is a unique opportunity to take a beautiful snap of you and your fellow dancers in action or a photo of you gracefully posing in the beautiful Place studios! All included in the ticket price!

What to bring:

 Ballet attire in the spirit of Coppelia is strongly encouraged - long flowy skirts, summery colours and flowers in your hair!
You are welcome to bring your pointe shoes if you are comfortable dancing in them

London Ballet Classes helps adults access the benefits of dance and movement, no matter their age or experience. We are passionate about making ballet more accessible to adults who have always wanted to learn but never had the chance. It really is never too late!

We know how hard it is to find drop-in classes that really nurture adults and develop technique, skill and artistry in the same way as children’s classes or pre-professional training programmes. Our classes are specifically focused on introducing adults to professional repertoire taken from the most iconic classical ballets, instilling in you a deep appreciation for ballet as an art form, not just a sport.  Our classes offer adults the opportunity to work on the same routine for several weeks, providing the time and support to better understand and execute movement, expressively and effectively. 

We complement our regular teaching programme with an annual series of workshops, focusing on specific technique and problem areas in dance, ranging from turnout, extensions, jumps, turns, flexibility and coordination. Alongside this we regularly partner with high profile dance professionals who come in as gtuest teachers and artists. Whatever you are looking for we have something for you!

Bollywood dancing is a dance style for EVERYONE!

Colourful, vibrant and expressive, Bollywood is a meeting of eastern and western dance styles that makes really exciting and eye-catching choreography.

Our class choreography fuses energetic Bhangra steps with beautiful Indian hand gestures , as well as a peppering of western dance  styles , namley Disco, Latino and Street!

At the beginning of every month we begin a new vibrant Bollywood routine and progressively build the routine over 4 classes. This enables you to feel the joy and satisfaction of mastering a piece of choreography.  Please be assured steps are easy to pick up and follow so that you can join in this class at any point of the routine and still feel confident!

Several times a month (usually every other week) this Intensive Workshops, become Super Intensive. So we dance during 4 hours, starting with Cuban Son from 5pm to 6pm, followed by Cuban Salsa from 6pm to 9pm. Both, suitable for all levels too.

What is Son? Son Cubano is a captivating genre of music and dance that emerged in Cuba during the late 19th century. Is a beautiful fusion with Spanish and African influences and is considered the father of Salsa. The clave rhythm, often considered the heartbeat of Son Cubano, serves as its guiding force. One of the steps to become an advanced and beautiful dancer is learning how to dance Cuban Son as it will give you a a better understanding about music and timing and you will improve your body posture and overall style and music interpretation.

This class is perfect for adults who are beginners and wish to learn how to dance various street dance styles.  You will learn basic Hip Hop foundations, vocabulary and technique.

Each class start with warm up, stretching, dance choreography or exchange followed by a cool down. Students learn how to dance, follow routines on the beat, learn dance steps and vocabulary. They also build confidence while getting fit.
