Linocutting workshop with Bristol printmaker, illustrator and teacher, Kaylene Alder.

Love a bold print? This workshop is for you! From start to finish, you will learn how to draw, cut and print your own A5 lino-printed design in a single colour. You will print several of your design - in different inks and on different papers. There will be an option to work into prints with other materials before and after printing. You will be able to take your printing block away to continue your printing adventure at home.

Things to remember

All materials are provided and there will be images to provide inspiration. However, if you have your own ideas about what you'd like to print, please feel free to bring them along. Printing can get a bit messy - best not to wear your favourite glad rags.

Leading up to the workshop, kaylene was super patient with me as I navigated booking status and my party. She was prompt in responding to any questions I had and even did some extra research to link the course to our interests. I can't believe what I was able to accomplish in the session. We were all completely satisfied with our prints and our new skill. Kaylene is extremely personable, and made us feel very relaxed while building our confidence throughout the evening.
