Exploring the origins of relief printing, the course uses lino blocks instead of wood. The course covers the creation of your design, colour mixing and finishing your piece to a professional standard.

In this class
With tutor Julian Davies on hand to help with the tricky bits, this lino cut workshop begins with the basic techniques and walks you through planning your design, creating your linocut block, mixing colours and printing onto Japanese paper, concluding with finishing your piece to a high standard.
Now you can
The longest lino print was created in Newcastle upon Tyne in 2015 by Anna Wilkinson, it is just under 110 feet long and a rugby team pushed a scrum machine to complete the printing.
Materials are provided for use throughout the workshop and your final piece is yours to take home and display with pride.
