What happens in this class?

In our art workshops, you will have the option to create a linocut print, hand-build with clay, or create an experimental watercolour masterpiece!

With our flexitime bookings, you can request to book a workshop for a private party or event.

Clay: You will be using air-drying nylon reinforced clay to hand build a lovely coil pot or bowl to take home with you! You may have the opportunity to paint your bowl during this course. If you are unable to finish, you are welcome to take it home or book another class to complete your piece…

Things to remember

Please wear clothes you feel comfortable getting messy in. Clay is powdery and may leave white spots on your clothes, but it will come off quite easily. Acrylic paint, however, does not come out of fabric so well!

I had a really fun time at Art-K designing and building a clay pot. Learnt techniques such as using slip and coils to create the structure of my pot. Just a really calming/welcoming atmosphere in which to learn and relax!

I started the class not knowing what to do or having any experience with clay (or art). But I came away feeling proud of what I made and the teachers were a major part of that. I had a lot of fun and would love to do another class again soon!
