2 hour workshop
An introduction to pottery for beginners where you will learn how to throw on the pottery wheel.
This is a one-to one tuition class.
During the 2 hours lesson Baba will teach you how to throw a pot on the wheel. You'll begin by starting from scratch, including how to prep the clay that you will then use on the wheel. Once you have moved onto the wheel, Baba will guide you through how to create a little bowl. You'll learn how to centre the clay on the wheel, which is what you really need to perfect as a beginner. You'll learn how to shape the pot, including how to create a rim on the bowl. All the material will be provided on the day. You can collect your creation few weeks later, after it has been fired.
We ensure quality. If your class doesn't reach your expectations, we'll give your money back.
This is a Flexitime class, which means the teacher can run this class around your schedule.

The aim of her work is to reveal and enhance the natural and tactile aspect of clay an glazes through functional objects to use at the dinner table, around the house etc.
Baba designs simple spontaneous shapes which ask to be experienced and perceived through the sense of touch, finding beauty in their imperfections.
Wear comfortable clothes that you don't mind getting a bit messy, there will be aprons provided, but you may way to bring your own. Long nails don't work for pottery I'm afraid, it's better to have short, trimmed nails!
