What happens in this class?

These workshops focus solely on the potter's wheel, providing students with a closely tutored exploration of the throwing and turning process.  Based on multiple demonstrations throughout, close tutoring and the combination of constant practice and personal assistance allows students to really get to grips with the craft.

Decoration of work will be explored through the use of slips (coloured liquid clay) and experimentation with surface texture. 

Class size is limited to eight students, is suitable for mixed abilities and no previous experience of pottery or ceramics is required.  All materials are included.

Please note that finished, glazed pieces will be ready for collection approximately 10 days after the attended workshop. Exact dates will be given by the teacher during class on the second workshop day.
