What you will do
3 hour workshop
Join Amanda for ceramic workshops as seen in, ‘The Evening Standard online ‘New Hobbies’. Socialise with friends & be creative in a naturally lit & fully equipped London riverside studio. Even if you think you don't have a creative bone in your body, Amanda's workshops will boost your creative skills. Like many others, you are sure to enjoy yourself, so what are you waiting for?
Get your creative juices (& the booze) flowing with a Ceramic Social. Designed to bring fun into ceramics, this is a great way to be creative & socialise with friends. Whether you want to celebrate a birthday, hen party or enjoy a casual catch up, you can bring one or all your friends with you. Not only that, it’s BYOB & you can keep your ceramic creations.
This social is designed for you & up to six friends. Once everyone has a drink, together we will explore the exciting world of ceramics. We’ll then kick off with a practical demonstration where you’ll learn how to prepare your clay followed by a step-by-step journey of fundamental hand-building techniques such as pinching, coiling, slab-building & surface decoration. No matter your creative experience or capabilities, we guarantee you’ll have the skills to create up to six ceramic pieces between you whether functional mugs, bowls, cups, planters, or sculptural. But it doesn't stop there, at the end of your social you’ll see where all the magic happens as we explore glaze techniques & apply colour to your creations.
Since it's a social, you're more than welcome to BYOB & snacks. If you're celebrating an occasion let us know & we'll be happy to decorate. If you have any questions please feel free to contact Amanda, otherwise, I look forward to greeting you at my studio.

About your host, Trinity Art Studios
Trinity Art Studios was founded in 2005 by the artist Ian Robert Felton. It is located at Trinity Buoy Wharf in London's Docklands beneath London's only lighthouse and where two rivers meet. This large studio is housed in a beautiful brick building from 1835. Original oak beams in the high ceiling with natural sunlight illuminating the space.
Ian has developed his own exercises and techniques to explore the world of colour through oil paint. His abstract paintings have become very iconic and collectable. From the same venue he hosts a collective of many other professional, semi professional and amateur artists. Every quarter the studio holds its seasonal exhibitions.
We are located at Trinity Buoy Wharf, 4 Orchard Place, London, E14 0JY accessible by East India and Canning Town DLR. There is parking on-site; if you speak with security at the gate they can issue you a permit. If you arrive after 7pm, the gate to Trinity Buoy Wharf may be closed. If this is the case, please contact Amanda directly on 07932874227. Once on-site you can find Amanda in our Sculpture Studio within the old Boiler House (opposite The Parkour Academy). There are lots of things to see at Trinity Buoy Wharf such as the Lighthouse, Sculpture Park and City Island, plus you can stop by Bow Creek Cafe or Fatboy's Diner.
All students under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a parent/guardian.
