The use of different materials and paint for abstract art work. It has given me a a better understanding of how to use paints and alternative materials to create for me a new way of working. Georgie was welcoming and friendly and her teaching was very helpful and instructive, clear and concise. The studio was spacious with good light and anything you required was at hand. I found the walk round the farm helpful when we came to do our painting.

Absolutely incredible class, not only for the skills learnt but for the atmosphere/energy of the class and Georgie. What a fantastic way to spend a Saturday - walked home feeling totally energised and happy. Thanks Georgie!

I joined Georgie for her Tuesday painting and lunch session in the summer. I absolutely loved learning about the different materials and textures and how I could apply it to my own work. It truly started my passion for creating my own abstract art and experimenting on my own pieces. The farm is such a beautiful place to create and learn, and the lunch was so delicious. I will definitely be back for another session, I honestly couldn't recommend it enough <3

Georgie's art class was such fun. The venue helped set the scene and the room was light and airy and we were able to work with the doors open which was great. Georgie was a great teacher who allowed us to go with our ideas and managed to input when it was needed in a positive way that didn't quash confidence and creativity.
We were encouraged to use a range of different materials and resources which was a real bonus and meant I could experiment, make mistakes and learn.
I finished the day energised and excited about my next piece of art.
Thank you Georgie for a really great day.
P.S. The lunch was yummy too!

I had such an inspiring day on the farm and in the studio with Georgie. We all learnt lots of new and effective techniques for creating texture and it was great having the use of all the paints and products to try out ideas. Lunch cooked by Alice was delicious and our walk around the farm a lovely addition to the day. Georgie is a really kind and excellent teacher - she just came up with the prefect suggestion each time I wasn't quite sure which direction to go in and I was really pleased with my finished picture! I'd highly recommend this day for complete beginners or practising artists alike - it was utterly therapeutic.

Georgie is a warm, friendly and encouraging teacher and her studio in Stepney City Farm is wonderful oasis, you can't help but unwind and feel those creative juices flow - surrounded by the colour, light and openness Georgie has created in the space.
After a few hours of experimenting with textures and styles we had a walk round the farm in the glorious sunshine and came back to a delicious lunch laid on by Alice - beautifully made vegetable tarts, seasonal salads and an unbelievably good blueberry loaf cake! We finished off the day with a bit more painting and a few rounds of tea and then took our works of art home.
Such a wonderful day that coming home afterwards felt like coming back from a holiday!

I really loved the Tuesday class, Georgie is so helpful and friendly, and was able to provide some really useful techniques to everyone! It didn't feel like being in London at all, with the sound of farm animals in the background it couldn't have been a better location. 5 stars to the chef who prepared our delicious lunch! Highly recommend this class to anyone, thank you Georgie!
