What happens in this class?

Think you ‘can’t draw’? So, what? Collage art is all made up. As a self-taught artist, I am confident I can guide you through nerves, anxiety and self-judgement to focus your mind and create freely. We can collage in-person using vibrant African print textiles or you can join me online using my fancy print-it-yourself paper pack and trust me, you will surprise yourself with your artistic expression.

Birungi Kawooya is passionate about helping you to express your artistic vision and empowering you to create paper cut and African textile collage art. With my 6 years of experience, Birungi Kawooya is confident to coach absolute beginners you to create original masterpieces. You can also use a variety of nature, portraiture and self-care themed stencils and recreate my art whilst working in a mindful environment. Birungi Kawooya is inspired by Black women, dancers from the African diaspora and tropical nature scenes.
