What happens in this class?

WK 1: 13 Sep In this first session, you will be introduced to the basic principles of drawing, such as line, tone, proportion & composition. This session will include those who book in for our taster session.

WK 2: 20 Sep Line, tone and composition; working with white platonic shapes.

​WK 3: 27 Sep Proportion, mark making and composition of angular shapes and forms.

WK 4: 04 Oct Shape, texture & composition: the study of ellipses & simple perspective using a cylindrical object (with reference to Brunelleschi).

Things to remember

Customers are encouraged to bring two 2B pencils, an eraser, a small sketchbook i.e., A5/A4 and any other particular drawing equipment you enjoy using. I will supply paper, some pastels and charcoal. There is a good cafe and restaurant at the Watermans Art Centre. The area is well…
