Wine and Modern Calligraphy Workshop

Really fun and educational. We had a great time learning modern calligraphy with Aisling and wine was fantastic too!

This was a fantastic workshop - Aisling was super lovely and happy to help us with anything we were struggling with. She’s makes it look easy and it’s definitely a little harder than it looks but still really enjoyable and relaxing!

This workshop was brilliant! It was extremely well organised and great value for money. Aisling was a great teacher and we came away with so many useful tips and loads of materials to practice with. Absolutely loved it - Aisling was a delight - so friendly and open and really helpful when practising the different techniques. Her own calligraphy is so beautiful and a real inspiration - definitely going to try more independently and the tools we took away were great. really nice small group so we could chat together too. The wine came with personal stories of those who had made it. Unfortunately I was not able to indulge at 39 weeks pregnant - but everyone seemed to enjoy it :)

Celery informative teaching and great tips - definitely enhanced what I had tried at home and made a big difference! The practise sheets were great and it’s good to have some to continue practising at home too. Lovely setting and informative class Would definitely recommend!

A great start to calligraphy.. Aisling is really lovely and patient, and really takes her time to walk you through it all and show you how you can avoid making the same mistakes over and over again. Time really flies in this class, or it might be the wine talking :)

So much fun and Interesting! Aislings is so cute and friendly and has answers to all the questions you may have. Really recommend the class. Oh and the wine is faboulus too.

Aisling's workshop was great - informal and really fun. It was a lovely way to spend a Monday night, and we went away with a very useful kit that means we can practice in our own time. Plus the wines were excellent!

Fun Monday evening learning a new skill, meeting new people and drinking wine! Lots of information to enable practicing and exploring after the class!

I have wanted to do a course like this for ages and have so enjoyed it. Aisling helped to explain all the basic techniques in a really clear way. She then went round and gave individual support to improve our techniques and give suggestions. The wine was also free flowing and fabulous! Highly recommend! Thanks so much Aisling.

This was such a fun way to begin learning a new skill! Aisling took us through all of the basics of modern calligraphy, including materials and technique. Then, we spent plenty of time practicing! She also spent one on one time with each person in the class, giving tips and correcting techniques. She’s such a great teacher and I would highly recommend her class!

I was bought the class as a present as I have always been interested in calligraphy but not known where exactly to start to get practicing. Aisling’s workshop was a great way to see how to get started - practicing lines, letters and then words - finishing in my own handmade card! Plus I’ve got a little kit to keep practicing with - thank you!

Aisling was really friendly, made us all feel at ease and free to play and learn the art of modern calligraphy. The setting for the class was perfect, wine was great and there was lots of time for practice and perfecting our skills.

She’ll also give you little individual tips and tricks to really help you progress within the class - as well as tools for afterwards. Aisling is so passionate and knowledgable and a really engaging teacher. She’s super friendly, lets everyone go at their own pace and offers help when you need it. We were complete beginners but learned a tonne and came away wanting to carry it on. Would highly recommend to anyone looking to try calligraphy for the first time!

Aisling was so friendly and helpful that it made learning a new skill a real pleasure. It was a great evening and very relaxed, but even so we learnt an awful lot. I was impressed at how much we managed to get through in the time even to making a little card at the end. The venue was unusual too with the bonus of members of the restaurant giving an introduction to the wine we were drinking - which was excellent. A fascinating hobby and a fun evening; I really recommend it.

Aisling expertly took us through the basics of modern calligraphy. She started by explaining her story and and teaching us how to being using calligraphy nibs and ink. Aisling was incredibly knowledgable and able to help (even left handed) me when I struggled! The venue was set out beautifully with our own individual and labelled pack to take us through initial strokes to writing names and phrases. The atmosphere was brilliant, a balance of information, fun and sheer joy! I’d refommend this evening for anyone who wants to learn something new and have a fabulous evening at the same time! I’d love to revisit and hone my new skills!

Fun and relaxed evening. I am a total beginner and but saw so much improvement thanks to Aislings tips and tricks. Got to make a cool card at the end that I was quite proud of.
