6.5 hour class
'Modern' calligraphy script, written with a pointed pen, is a hybrid of Copperplate and Italic handwriting.
In the class you will learn several essential skills including how to hold the pen, how to set up and rule your paper, how to connect the letters up and how to develop the rhythm and flow needed to write each letter accurately.
Once you have learnt these skills you will, with with the tutor's guidance, create a final composition made up of words and phrases.
The handwriting style is particularly useful because of its suitability for invitations, place cards, greetings cards and more.
This workshop is suitable for beginners and skilled calligraphers.
