Calligraphy and Meditation

In the East, Calligraphy is used as a focal point for meditation.

In this 3 hour session we will look at how to apply that practise by using traditional Japanese Brushes and ink to write the Enso. This circle represents many things but it starts with the creation of strength and self-awareness.

This class is not only a practise in mindfulness resulting in improved well-being, it also focuses on breath and tool control. In many ways it is similar to yoga or tai chi using movement and ink.
