All round 5 stars. I have learned a lot about acrylic paintings. Alma is knowledgeable, well organised and warm. It was both relaxing and a lot of fun. The atmosphere is also very peaceful and cosy. I cannot recommend enough this class. Excellent teaching.
ClaudiaThe class was good and all practical, I did find that it was not as informative as I had hoped for. We were not told about how to blend or colour pallets or exactly which type of materials to use or how to finish of the painting . I was asking many questions but didn’t feel I was getting the right answers. Also alot of the paints had run out so we were limited in which we could use or trying to scrape out the paints that were there. We had 3 pieces of art which we each produced on thin canvas boards these were all with different types of texture. We got to take these home but they were wet. It took a lot of drying with our own hairdryers throughout the 6 hours .

NouraI went with a friend for an Abstract Painting class and it was a very enjoyable experience. Alma was kind and patient and the class was well prepared. Her studio is very comfortable. Totally recommend it!
AlexThis class was okay overall but there were a few ways in which I felt it was lacking. There were no birds of paradise plants present which we were meant to be painting and no photos of it either. As I don’t know what it looks like it was very hard to know what to paint. Sometimes the tutor would get the photo up on his phone and show us but this felt very uncomfortable and inconvenient for everyone to have to keep asking him to show us a reference picture on his phone. Also it was an incredibly basic class. We didn’t even cover color theory which was one of the main reasons I wanted to attend the class. I’d say overall there was little instruction and I personally would’ve appreciated a more. I’d say the class was overpriced for what the experience was but generally the tutor was nice and the studio space was a nice environment.

BansriAlma's class was AMAZING! The class was intimate, she shared her vast artistic knowledge, helped give guidance, and examples of composition, colour and texture before you even start putting paint to canvas. The time melted away, but at the end a stunning textured painting, and more importantly, knowledge and confidence to create future textured artwork stayed with me. If you choose just one teacher, and one class I wholeheartedly recommend this class. You will NOT be disappointed.

DanielleAlma took us firstly through basics of the use of acrylics and then we were able to paint our own sea landscape from either the traditional panoramic view or from the more unusual sky view. AmeliaAlma's class on textured abstract art was such a great introduction to textures. I learned a lot and Alma was great at explaining everything whilst also letting our creativity flow. Her studio is a lovely space for this class and Alma is very friendly and welcoming. We had a range of abilities in the class and I was a beginner but Alma was able to cater to everyone's level and style. I would highly recommend this class and will be looking to book another class with Alma soon.

HarryI had the most wonderful evening at Alma's beautiful studio learning a new skill that I had always wanted to learn. Alma is a fantastic, warm and encouraging teacher who explains and demonstrates the techniques needed to create a first watercolour to be proud of! The calming and freeing environment Alma has created (plus the lovely drinks and snacks included) really enable you to connect with your creativity and completely get lost in the process! SitaI had a great painting session with Alma yesterday. The class took place in Alma's lovely place and the whole experience was peaceful and enjoyable with just four attendees. Alma made us comfortable and explained each and every step of the tasks clearly. She was very much hands on and I believe we all progressed well in the given time. A lot of tips and tricks as well as regular one to one conversations were very useful. Alma made sure that we all enjoyed the session well and remained proud of what we achieved. EmmaI would absolutely recommend this class to anyone. You will receive great advice and Alma's full attention while working on your painting. I enjoyed the clam atmosphere and the fact that only a limited number of people can participate. In the end I had to leave earlier and Alma gave me colours to finish my painting at home. Really happy with the whole experience. As someone who didn't paint for years, I found the class easy to follow and feel more confident to start painting again.

SaskiaThis is really an extraordinary class painting from a perspective to which we wouldn't ordinarily see. Hover high above a tropical beach and paint the sand, sea and trees, adding people and surfboards at the end. Really good fun and I highly recommend it.
Sarah Burnett-MooreAlma was a wonderful teacher and gave a brilliant introduction to watercolour painting. She went through all the best paints, paper, types of brushes to use as well as brush strokes and water control. I'd done a bit of watercolours before and was blown away with all the tips she gave. She really let us use our imagination and just paint how we wanted to after giving us some structure. Would bring my friends along to another class for sure! My only downside was I had to travel home in the terrible weather and I lived on the other side of London so was long to get to!

JessicaThis class was great and have already recommended it to other friends. Myself and 3 other family members went with varying watercolor and artistic experience. Alma put everyone at ease straight away and taught us the basics, letting us have a practice before starting the birds of paradise piece. She is a great teacher and was able to spend time helping us individually to improve our technique but also give hints and tips to the whole group. Very talented artist and teacher. The only downside about the class was it wasn't long enough! Would love to go back and do another class! Thank you Alma for a lovely time!

I cannot recommend enough Alma's class; starting from a very cosy environment, good music and drinks. Alma is very patient and approachable. Ro BozzangaA wonderful workshop... Alma , on top of being an amazing artist, is also a great teacher, she will guide you step by step but at the same time leave you free to experiment and bring you own twist to your art work. It's an intimate and cozy class, and being in her home studio you also get the chance to have a look at her beautiful pieces! Cannot recommend it enough, I will definitely be back :)

The colour mixing exercise is really interesting, learnt alot! Alma's studio is quite inspirational too. Class is really fun and interesting and I would highly recommend it.

Cristy MolinaAll round 5 stars. I have learned a lot about acrylic paintings. Alma is knowledgeable, well organised and warm. It was both relaxing and a lot of fun. The atmosphere is also very peaceful and cosy. I cannot recommend enough this class. Excellent teaching.
ClaudiaThe class was good and all practical, I did find that it was not as informative as I had hoped for. We were not told about how to blend or colour pallets or exactly which type of materials to use or how to finish of the painting . I was asking many questions but didn’t feel I was getting the right answers. Also alot of the paints had run out so we were limited in which we could use or trying to scrape out the paints that were there. We had 3 pieces of art which we each produced on thin canvas boards these were all with different types of texture. We got to take these home but they were wet. It took a lot of drying with our own hairdryers throughout the 6 hours .
