Channel your creativity and try something new from the comfort of your own home and **build your own desert terrarium** in this 1.5 hr workshop via zoom with a **bunch of like minded folks!** 
 
We send you all the materials and tools required in advance of the workshop so you will have everything you will need. *(please just make sure you book more than 72 hours in advance of the scheduled workshop time)*

During the workshop we will be making an open terrarium! These mimic the landscape of beautiful arid desert plains so get ready for a display of cacti and succulents. 

Terrarium making is **perfect for urban dwellers** or if you are new to living with plants as our open terrariums need **minimal maintenance** and are a breeze to care for! Yet they provide a beautiful centre piece for your interior and bring great joy as you **watch your miniature world grow**, never mind how much fun they are to make!!

If you love cactus and succulents this is the workshop for you!

During the workshop, you will learn fun facts about the interesting history of terrariums, suitable soil compositions, and top tips for arranging your plants in your vessel. Lastly you will learn how to care for your new desert terrarium so it survives and thrives!

The kit contains a glass vessel, tools, stones, soil and some decorative elements such as moss and driftwood. We also send you three plants, which will be a mix of both cactus and succulents.

- A welcome to our online hangout on zoom! 
- A moment to get set up, go through our materials and pour a glass of wine, grab some snacks:)!
- We will start the session with an insight into the history and background of terrariums 
- Learn some facts and tips about growing cacti and succulents 
- Learn about soil and drainage combinations 
- Guided step by step process to build your terrarium 
- Let your creative go wild as you put your own individual flair on to the decorative elements.

These terrariums need minimal maintenance and are a breeze to care for! 

Terrariums are a hot trend in interior design and they provide a beautiful stylish centre piece and an element of nature in your home. They are sure to bring you great joy as you watch your miniature world grow, never mind how much fun they are to make!!

The kit contains a glass vessel, tools, stones, soil and some decorative elements such as moss and driftwood.  We do not provide the plants, but we recommend a maximum of three small 3cm pot size cacti or succulents.
You will be guided through a step by step process of how to build your terrarium. Then you can let your creativity go wild as you put your own individual flair into your design.

Lastly you will learn plant care and maintenance tips to keep your new miniature desert happy and thriving!
